Bares Tackles Gas City in 2010, Test and Tunes Galore
Six and a half hours separates Joe Bares from his latest sprint car racing endeavor. Last Friday Bares began in hew racing adventure traveling from his home in Traverse City, Michigan, where Bares is a traffic investigator for the Grand Traverse County Sherriff’s Department, to complete the weekly sprint car program at Gas City I-69 Speedway.

THURSDAY PRACTICE SESSION SET AT ELDORA
Eldora Speedway officials have set their previously announced pre-season open practice session on the one-half mile clay oval for Thursday evening (April 15) from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, with the pit gate opening at 5:00 PM.

All three Red Hawk Series divisions converge at Placerville Saturday
All three divisions of the 2010 Red Hawk Casino Championship point racing season are set to converge this Saturday night at Placerville Speedway. After three special events in the past month, the quarter-mile clay oval at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds is ready for the weekly multi division program to bring it’s great sportsmanship and excitement to the 45 year old speedway.

Brian Brown – Five and Dime!
It was fifth and tenth place finishes for Brian Brown and the FVP #21 racing team last weekend with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Series. The series visited the Lone Star Speedway in Kilgore, Texas on Friday, and the I-30 Speedway near Little Rock, Arkansas on Saturday. This week, variety is the theme, as Brian races in the 360 season opener at the State Fair Speedway in Sedalia, Missouri on Friday, and with the World of Outlaws in Pevely, Missouri on Saturday.

Allard charges from rear to fifth in A-main during Faria Memorial
Hoping to make it three in a row to begin the Golden State Challenge Series season Chico’s Jonathan Allard looked to be in position to make it happen on Saturday night until contact while battling for the lead relegated him to the rear of the field, where he would eventually charge back for a fifth place finish in the 30-lap feature at the Groppetti Automotive Thunderbowl Raceway.

FAST Championship Series Revises 2010 Rules to Level Playing Field
-In an effort to further level the playing field for lower budget teams who compete locally in the Kistler Racing Products Fremont/Attica Sprint Title (F.A.S.T.) Championship Series, the F.A.S.T. Staff has revised and added rules that will eliminate a few of the unfair advantages that larger teams with larger budgets are able to afford.
