USAC WEST COAST 360 SPRINTS HEAD FOR HANFORD SATURDAY

Round two for the USAC West Coast 360 Sprint Car Series will be held this Saturday night, March 13th, at Giant Speedway in Hanford, California. It will be the first of five events at the 3/8-mile facility, followed by June 5th, July 17th, August 21st, and the Jim Turner Memorial on September 11th. The Turner Memorial is also the finale for the Southwest Contractors 360 Clash, a four-race mini-series that has a $5,000 point fund.

TARLTON AND MURPHY KICK OFF SEASON AT TULARE

Tarlton Motorsports kicked off the 2010 season at the always exciting Tulare Thunderbowl, in Tulare, Ca. 2009 Ocean Sprints 360 Sprint Car champion, Tommy Tarlton competed against the always pesky traveling World of Outlaws winged Sprint Car group. Peter Murphy competed in the Non-Wing portion of the weekend, competing with the West Coast 360 Sprint Car Series.

McMahan prepared to carry Steve Harris’ legacy into 2010

At the conclusion of the 2009 racing season, veteran driver Bobby McMahan of Elk Grove accomplished a missing accolade on his racing resume; a championship title at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico. For McMahan the title meant far more then the trophy and the bragging rights, it was final achievement with veteran car owner and his dear friend Steve Harris by his side.

PEACE TREE BREWING COMPANY BECOMES FIRST OFFICIAL VENDOR FOR “RED, WHEAT & BLEU” RECEPTION

Knoxville’s own Peace Tree Brewing Company has become the first business to commit to participating in the inaugural “Red, Wheat & Bleu” wine-, beer- and cheese-tasting special reception to be held on Wednesday, August 11, at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum during the 50th annual Goodyear Knoxville Nationals presented by Lucas Oil. The reception is open to museum visitors on the first day of the four-day sprint car national championships, from 12:30 until 3:30 p.m., and it will be held on the museum’s air-conditioned second floor.

Northwest Wingless Tour

NWWT releases final 2010 schedule

The IXL Metal Conditioner NorthWest Wingless Tour officially released its 2010 schedule on Monday, announcing a slate of ten nights of racing, which include nine events for the wingless 360 sprint cars and eight for the midget cars. Five different tracks in Oregon and Washington will host NWWT sanctioned events in 2010.

Tuesdays with TMAC – Tulare From Another Angle!

Tulare from another angle…upside down that is! Though TMAC is used to success at the bullring, the weekend with the World of Outlaws at the Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, California got off to a rocky start with two flips on Friday night. Despite the setbacks, the Big Game Treestands #24 and driver Terry McCarl were fast every time they hit the track. This weekend, the WoO will be in Texas for a doubleheader at Kilgore and Baytown.
