Louie Vermeil Classic Championship for Hirst

Kyle Hirst continued to display his versatility to the sprint car world over the weekend, as the winged regular picked up his third non-wing win of the year as he picked up the Louie Vermeil Classic win aboard the famed Rod Tiner Racing no.83.

Tony Stewart Racing Teams Begin Stretch Run Toward WoO Championship

The numbers are all still in play in the 2012 World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Car Series championship fight. In just 64 days a champion will be crowned, and it’s looking like a two-team race with each having a pair of viable candidates. Tony Stewart Racing’s (TSR) Donny Schatz and Steve Kinser both have plenty of experience winning WoO championships and know success this weekend in northwest Washington and western Oregon would certainly enhance their title chances.

Runner-Up in Return to Grays Harbor

The busiest stretch of the World of Outlaws 2012 season kicked off on Wednesday for the Big Game Treestands #7 team as they embarked on 9 races in 13 days spanning three states along the West Coast. First up for the first time since 2008 was a return to Grays Harbor Raceway where ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ has posted 8 top-tens that include 4 top-fives.
