The 5th annual Jim “JB” Boyd Memorial will showcase the 13th straight season the premier sprint car series has visited the racy track, where Pittman has won a series-leading three times.
They are also two of the four drivers in contention for the series championship midway through the season as the competition ventures to 34 Raceway this Friday for only the fourth-ever visit.
The Hollister, Calif. driver has already set a West Coast Sprint record for consecutive wins. Damion Gardner’s four 2005 wins are the record for USAC/CRA, while Rick Ziehl won four straight in the Southwest Sprints in 2006 and Jimmy Wysong won four straight in the 2003 Rocky Mountain Sprints.
