LYNCH EMERGES AS MERCER SPRINT WINNER FOR 2ND WIN

Like a broken record, Mother Nature threw all she had at Mercer Raceway Park on Saturday with rain showers just to the north of the track in the late afternoon and evening, but the entire show including the spectacular fireworks display was able to be completed before the rains fell.

MERCER BECOMES REGION’S HIGHEST PAYING WEEKLY SPRINT CAR TRACK WITH NEW PURSE INCREAS

From day one since purchasing Mercer Raceway Park, it’s been Bill Altman’s goal to make Mercer Raceway Park the region’s premier Sprint Car track. At the start of the 2010 season, Altman raised the purse an additional $1,000 with a region-high $1,500 going to the winner and an increase throughout the purse, along with awarding five Goodyear Tire certificates per night.

After suffering the third rainout in the past four weeks, Mercer Raceway Park hopes to resume action this Saturday night, May 15 with a full five-division “Saturday Night Live” program of Luxaire Heating & Cooling 410 Sprint Cars for $1,500 to-win, Approved Toilet Rentals Modifieds, 4 Your Car Connection FASTRAK Late Models, Big Daddy’s Speed Center Stock Cars, and the M&D Paving Mini Stocks. LUTZ WINS FOR 2ND TIME IN 3 RACES SATURDAY IN MERCER SPRINTS

After two weeks of inclement weather, Mercer Raceway Park was able to complete the racing action Saturday night despite a very unfavorable forecast and scattered showers throughout the day. Celebrating in the Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic victory lane was Mike Lutz-Luxaire Heating & Cooling Sprint Cars.

RAIN WASHES OUT MERCER FOR 2ND STRAIGHT WEEK

After three great nights to open up the 2010 season at Mercer Raceway Park, Mother Nature reared her ugly head for the second straight week on Saturday. Rain showers started around noon and with the forecast of more rain later in the day and evening the decision was made to cancel the night.
