Rain forces Placerville cancelation

Due to the excessive rain in the area Placerville Speedway has been forced to cancel tomorrow’s scheduled season opener. With the previous rain, plus cloud cover and cold temps today, the track surface and more importantly the pit area, will not have adequate time to dry for tomorrow.

Placerville Speedway season inching closer

The El Dorado County Fairgrounds based Placerville Speedway will hear racing engines for the first time in 2021 by hosting a “Test and Tune” on Saturday March 13th, taking place from Noon to 4pm.

Ryan Timmons Adds Placerville to Win List

Charging from sixth, fast qualifier Ryan Timmons (Pleasant Hill, CA) topped the non-point USAC West Coast Sprint Car debut at Placerville Speedway. Racing the family owned #29T Timmons Auto Truck & Repair / Evergood Fine Foods CS9, Timmons took advantage of a “Wild” Billy Aton bobble to lead the final twelve laps of the “Prospector Pandemonium.” Ryan earned his third career series win over Jake Morgan, Aton, Kaleb Montgomery, and Oregon’s Rob Lindsey.
