FARRELL, STENHOUSE AND DUNCAN SCORE SPRINT CAR WINS FOR J&J

Youth was served in Sprint car action last weekend as three J&J racers came home victorious. Ryan Farrell won in Western Australia while Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. made a triumphant return to Sprint cars at Riverside Speedway. Cole Duncan out-dueled veteran Sprint car star Ed Lynch, Jr. to pick up a popular win in Western Pennsylvania.

Henry perseveres through weekend to get at 16th Trophy Cup

Despite a pair of tough breaks that took him from the front of the order both nights at the annual Trophy Cup Sacramento, CA’s Mike Henry was able to fight through adversity and bring home a 13th place finish in the overall standings this past weekend at the Tulare Thunderbowl Raceway.

Tuesdays with TMAC – 7th at WoOFest!

It had been awhile since Terry McCarl had competed with the World of Outlaws, but he didn’t miss a step last weekend at the WoOFest at the Lonestar Speedway in Kilgore, Texas. The result was a seventh place finish. Next weekend he heads to Charlotte, North Carolina and the World of Outlaws World Finals, November 5-7.

Rocket Hockett – On to Little Rock!

Jesse Hockett’s trip to California looked like it might find him heading home with 5,000 large, but it didn’t end up that way. A rough Friday at the Trophy Cup saw him switch venues on Saturday and head to the Ventura Raceway, where it looked like the top prize would be his. An official’s decision cost him a shot at the win, and this week he’ll tackle the Short Track Nationals in Little Rock aiming at an even bigger $15,000 prize.

Tarlton Motorsports Has Tough Luck at the Trophy Cup; Murphy looks ahead to Chowchilla

Newly crowned GLR Investments champion, Tommy Tarlton and teammate Peter Murphy competed in the Trophy Cup held at the Tulare Thunderbowl this past weekend. Tarlton was coming off of a fifth place finish that he scored at Ocean Speedway on October 16, while Murphy was coming off of his eighth win of the season that came at Santa Maria Speedway in a dominating performance on October 10.

Hurt Motor Ends Tyler Walker’s Trophy Cup Run

The SC Motorsports team had high hopes going into last weekend’s Trophy Cup race at the Tulare Thunderbowl. The team performed flawlessly Friday night, and things were looking strong for the 2009 King of California champion, Tyler Walker, until a hurt motor ended Walker’s night on lap-47 of the 50 lap feature event. The race would also mark the teams’ final race of a very successful 2009 season.
