USAC Silver Crown Series

Track Enterprises and USAC officials have announced rescheduling of the “Tony Bettenhausen 100,” which was interrupted by rain Saturday at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield, for Sunday afternoon, September 7.

Bryan Clauson and Brady Bacon, two of America’s most talented open-wheel stars, are the latest drivers to join the field for this Saturday’s “Tony Bettenhausen 100” USAC Silver Crown race at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield.

Illinois driver A.J. Fike, of Galesburg, hopes to do something Saturday only one driver in the past 80 years has been able to do when the USAC Silver Crown Series returns to the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield for the “Tony Bettenhausen 100.”

Kody Swanson of Kingsburg, Calif. enters the August 16 “Tony Bettenhausen 100” at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield with a 45-point lead over Tracy Hines in the UAC Silver Crown Championship series following his third victory of the season, last Friday at Belleville, Kansas.

The second annual “Hustle on the High Banks” is on tap for the USAC Silver Crown Championship Series Friday night at the famed “Belleville High Banks” in Kansas. Tracy Hines is the defending race champion on the half-mile dirt oval which hosts this week’s “Belleville Midget Nationals.” The Silver Crown cars practice Thursday and race Friday, with a 50-lap main event.

Ryan Newman has joined the list of entered drivers for Thursday night’s “J.D. Byrider” Rich Vogler Classic at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis.

Tracy Hines and Kody Swanson will carry their tie for the USAC Silver Crown point lead into the July 24 “J.D. Byrider 100” in Indianapolis, Ind. following last Sunday’s postponement at Memphis International Raceway due to rain.
