Nothing is slowing David Gravel right now. And that held true again on Friday night. Lapped traffic couldn’t slow him. Cautions that erased his lead couldn’t slow him. Even a slide job that briefly cost him the lead couldn’t slow him at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55.
Both Big Game Motorsports and David Gravel are inching closer to the coveted 100-victory mark with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series. Gravel captured his second triumph of the season last Friday at U.S. 36 Raceway near Osborn, Mo.
The opening weekend of the season was a success for Big Game Motorsports and driver David Gravel. The team captured its first World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series victory of the year and produced three top fives during the four-race Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals hosted by Volusia Speedway Park.
Brad Sweet and David Gravel can’t seem to get away from each other. For the third consecutive year, the two are heading to The Dirt Track at Charlotte for the World Finals (Nov. 1-4) engaged in a war for the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car championship. Sweet – the four-time and reigning titlist – holds a 50-marker advantage with a trio of points-paying races remaining.
