Midwest City, Oklahoma – April 24, 2013 – Sprint car racing is back at Route 66 Motor Speedway in Amarillo, Texas for the 2013 race season. After several years absence officials have decided to make the “winged warriors” a fixture with their very successful weekly program. However, the sprints will run on a bi-weekly basis.
Veteran sprint car racer Rip “The Ripper” Williams has confirmed that Jack Jory Corporation plans to field four (4) sprint cars in this Saturday’s URA sanctioned Unlimited Sprint Car race at the Route 66 Motorplex in Victorville, California.
USAC and the management team at Route 66 Motorplex in Victorville, Calif. have been unable to secure a replacement date for the canceled October 13 USAC Ignite Midget Series event. Managements of both organizations have begun planning events for the upcoming 2013 USAC racing season.
The October 13 USAC Mopar Western Midget and USAC Western Ignite Midget races originally scheduled October 13 at Route 66 Motorplex have been removed from the calendar.
