USAC ANNOUNCES ENHANCEMENTS TO 2010 SILVER CROWN SCHEDULE

The United States Auto Club has announced several schedule modifications to the 2010 Silver Crown Championship slate, including the addition of the “Rollie Beale 150” at the Toledo (Ohio) Speedway October 16 and the rescheduling of the rain-postponed “Sumar Classic 100” at the Terre Haute (Ind.) Bud Kaeding continues to lead the 2010 USAC Silver Crown Championship standings as he seeks a record fourth series title. He finished second to Shane Hmiel in Friday night’s 58th Hoosier Hundred at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis and has an 18-poiint lead over Jerry Coons Jr. going into a July 8 race at Illiana Motor Speedway in Schererville, Ind. The USAC Triple Crown Strives for Gold at The 4th Annual “Copper on Dirt”

Someone once said that visionaries create the future! In December 2006 at a local restaurant, Dennis Wood shared his idea of bringing the “Copper on Dirt” to Manzanita Speedway. He told a tale of bringing USAC Sprint Cars, Midgets and Silver Crown cars to Arizona and only had five weeks to make it happen.
