– Cody Darrah had a strong SurePoint/Team ASE/Ti22 No.4 all weekend, unfortunately he only has one finish to show for it as an accident on Saturday night spoiled his weekend.

Making it back to the Midwest after an extended trip out west, Darrah and the World of Outlaws took over the Clay Country Fair Speedway in Spencer, IA on Friday night.

Friday night would be a night of fours for the Scroth Racing/Roth Motorsports/Sage Fruit No.4. The night kicked off with time trials, and Darrah timed in fourth quick, putting him in the fourth heat.

Starting in the fourth spot, Darrah would maintain and score a fourth place finish in the heat, missing out on the dash, but transferring to the feature event where he would start back in the 11th spot.

With the race going green, Darrah put his right-rear tire on the cushion as he began moving forward in a hurry. CD4 used the cushion to perfection as he had moved up to the fourth spot when the caution waved on the 17th lap, restacking the field with just 13th laps remaining.

Darrah fell back to the fifth spot on the restart, and was unable to get back into the fourth spot as he fought with Jason Sides for it over the final few laps of the feature event.

Saturday night the scene shifted to the Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, MN. The night started off with Darrah timing in 11th fastest, and put him in the second heat.

Starting on the pole of his heat, the Red Lion, PA driver slipped back to the third spot aboard his SurePoint No.4 machine and missed out on the dash, and would line up for the feature in the 11th spot.

For the second night in a row, Darrah went to work on the high-side of the speedway looking to move forward, unfortunately it bit him on the ninth lap, when contact with the wall sent him over and ended his night.

“The SurePoint car was fast all weekend,” Cody explained. “My guys have had this thing working really well the last few weeks, but Saturday night we just got above it and hit the wall and ended our night.”

ON TAP- Darrah has another busy week slated for him as be will be in action at the Eagle Raceway in Eagle, NE on Wednesday before heading to Eldora Speedway on Friday and Lernerville Speedway on Saturday night.
