The 25 lap A-Main will pay the winner a cool $2,000 and not only will it begin the chase for the overall ESS championship but also kicks off the points for the E&V Energy Tour of the States and also the annual SUNY Canton Series.

Defending champion Steve Poirier is set to not only to keep the crown in Quebec but also looks for his fifth overall title.  His familiar #28FM came strong out of the box at Selinsgrove by setting fast time of the 26 cars on hand.  He will be ready at Can-Am come Friday.

The list of challengers will be stout.  Now third year runner Paul Kinney looks to move up one spot in the points for 2014.  Jason Barney, Kevin Ward Jr., Chuck Hebing, Jeff Cook, Matt Tanner, Shawn Donath, Patrick Vingneault, Joe Trenca, Etienne Girard and many more will be looking at challenging Poirier for his title.

The list of top drivers doesn’t stop there, also planning on being in the Can-Am field is Lance Yonge, Cory Sparks, James Hanson, Chris Jones, Lee Ladouceur, Dave Axton, Zach Weigand, Charlie Donk, Paul Habeck, Kyle Dutcher, Paul Pekkonen, as well as new comers Parker Evans and Yan Bilodeau and more.

Car Mate Custom Built Trailers will present the heats, Jason Smith and Exit Realty backs the dash with Lacaillade Masonry B-Main rounding out the field for the 25 lap A-Main on the night brought to you by Cook’s Hardware Center.

Fans should note that the scheduled event the next night at Mohawk International has been postponed for a week to Sunday May 4th as a part of the Atomic Spring Clash.

It’s the 31st Anniversary Season! The Lucas Oil Tour once again kicks off at Can-Am and it will be excitement guaranteed!!
