Chico, CA — (March 29, 2015) — Auto racing takes center stage this Friday and Saturday night at the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds in Chico. On Friday night, April 1st, the first Chuck Patterson Dodge Point Race of the year will feature four divisions of dirt track warriors. Then on Saturday night, April 2nd, the greatest show on dirt, the World of Outlaw drivers invade the quarter-mile clay oval speedway.

Friday night general admission is $17.00 for adults, $14.00 for seniors and juniors. Children ages 6 – 11 are $6.00 while kids five and under are free. Pit gate opens at 3 PM with the front gate opening at 5 PM. Winged sprint car qualifying is scheduled for 6:30 PM.

Saturday night reserved seating is $45.00 with general seating $39.00. Tickets are available online at https://dirtcar.ticketforce.com/ordertickets.asp?p=661&backurl=default.asp
Tickets are also available on race day at the ticket office. Pit gate opens at 3 PM, front gate at 5 PM and qualifying set to begin at 6 PM.

Friday night the speedway will host winged 360 sprint cars, IMCA sport mods, wingless sprints and the traveling Dwarf Cars.

On Saturday night, the best sprint car drivers in the world will get a chance to showcase their talents at the famed Silver Dollar Speedway. Joining the World of Outlaws are the dwarf cars.

Grass Valley, CA driver Brad Sweet currently leads the World of Outlaw point standings. Sweet has numerous Silver Dollar Speedway main event wins but has not won as a member of the World of Outlaws. Sweet has three wins in 2016 and will be a crowd favorite. Bixby, OK driver Shane Stewart is 68-points behind Sweet. Stewart has one win on the tour this year. Sweet’s teammate Daryn Pittman holds down the third spot in points. Donny Schatz is the series seven time champion but sits in the fourth spot. Even though he is farther down in the points than expected, he has four wins in 2016. Brownsburg, IN driver Joey Saldana rounds out the top five in points. Seven different World of Outlaw drivers have won main events in the first 12 races.
