Concord, NC— October 29, 2009—The third annual World of Outlaws World Finals featuring the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series and the World of Outlaws Late Model Series is quickly approaching at The Dirt Track @ Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina, November 5-7. In the 11 days leading up to the three-day action packed season ender, World of Outlaws drivers will share their thoughts on what is quickly becoming one of the “Must See” marquee events of the year.
The next driver up 2001 World of Outlaws champion Danny Lasoski, who has one career win at The Dirt Track @ Lowe’s Motor Speedway, with that coming in 2001. The native of Dover, Missouri has competed in each of the first two World Finals. In his career at the high-banked four-tenths-mile, Lasoski has 11 Top-10 finishes with five of those being Top-Five performances. He heads to the World Finals this season sixth in points on the strength of five A-Feature wins and 40 Top-10 finishes as he continues his first season with the Parsons Motorsports team owned by long time car owner Lonnie Parsons from Iowa.
Danny Lasoski, Driver of the No. 6 Casey’s General Stores JEI:
”We’re really looking forward to that event. It’s the last race of the year so we have to showcase ourselves and go out on a good note. The fans get to see the “Best of the Best” whether it’s in the stock cars or the sprint cars. I understand in 2010 the Big Block Modifieds will be there as well, so it’s definitely a place people want to take their vacation to, to see all of this racing. It would be the icing on the cake if we could finish the year there with a win in this Casey’s General Stores car. We have worked hard all year and have seen progress and we’d like to end it with a win.”
The finale of the World Finals will air live on SPEED on Saturday, November 7 beginning at 8 p.m. Eastern, with Bobby Gerould on the call and Brad Doty offering expert analysis along with Shane Andrews and Erin Crocker reporting from the pit area.
