Ventura, CA – (May 8, 2010) – While the USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series sat idle, “The Kruser” Cory Kruseman made a stop at Ventura Raceway to race with the Ventura Racing Association (VRA) in his potent Kruseman Motorsports, Lucas Oil, No. 21K Sprinter.

Cory was off to a strong night with the 2006 USAC/CRA Champion winning the second heat race in exciting fashion. Kruseman would start out of the fourth position for a wild the 30-lap feature event. When the green flag waved, Kruseman immediately got his elbows up, and would begin his charge toward the front of the pack.

Cory remained patient as the laps clicked-off, all the while keeping the front runners in his crosshairs. Kruseman began working the low line to perfection, hitting his marks lap after lap. However, during mid-race action he got sideways between turns one and two, but did a masterful job of gathering up the car and continue on after losing a couple of positions.

Never one to give up, Cory began his charge back to the front. He began to drive the car as it as he could, running the cushion and the bottom of the race track. With a handful of laps remaining, Cory was able to challenge for multiple positions, as the top five drivers were bunched up and battling for position. Charging off of turn four toward the checkered flag, one of the cars that was racing for the lead got sideways and collected the fifth place running Kruseman. Due to the unfortunate incident, Cory wasn’t able to cross past the flag stand and was credited with a 14th place finish.

Cory will be aboard his Kruseman Motorsports, Lucas Oil, No. 21K Midget Saturday, at the Santa Maria Speedway for the USAC Western States Midget race. Kruseman is the current point’s leader in the series.

The Cory Kruseman Sprint Car & Midget Driving School will be holding a class this Sunday, May 16 at the Ventura Raceway. Be sure to log on to www.Kruseman.com where you will also find more information on the school. Please feel free to look at the school schedule and call (805) 649-1243 if you have any questions regarding the wide array of classes that are offered.
