ASCS Sprints on Dirt Readies for Three-Night Stand in Ohio

TULSA, Okla. (May 24, 2010) – After an exciting season opener and the second event of the year spoiled by rain the Engine Pro ASCS Sprints on Dirt presented by ARP heads to Ohio for a three night stand during Memorial Day Weekend. All three stops are Ohio fans only chance to see the ASCS SOD series drivers in action during the 2010 season.

Friday night the tour visits Limaland Motorsports Park in Lima, Ohio for the Memorial Cup. The Limaland event features a $2,000 to win top prize to kick off the holiday weekend. Saturday the tour visits Waynesfield Motorsports Park in Waynesfield, Ohio for another $2,000 to win event. Sunday the Ohio journey concludes at the legendary Eldora Speedway in New Weston, Ohio during the Johnny Appleseed Classic.

All three events will be co-sanctioned with the Engine Pro NRA Sprint Invaders. Last year the ASCS SOD and NRA drivers split two of the events with Butch Schroeder winning at Eldora and current ASCS SOD point leader Dustin Daggett winning at Waynesfield while visiting driver Greg Wilson won the feature at Limaland.

The Engine Pro ASCS Sprints on Dirt presented by ARP is in its 31st season of competition. Twenty-seven races are on the calendar scheduled throughout Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, and Ontario.

In its 19th year of sanctioning Sprint Car racing, the American Sprint Car Series brings the best of Sprint Car racing to approximately 100 different tracks throughout 30 states and Canada. Anchored by the Lucas Oil Sprint Car Series presented by K&N Filters, ASCS also consists of ten different Regions throughout the nation.
