WINGED SPRINT CARS KICK OFF PAY LESS LITTLE 500 WEEK ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT AT ANDERSON

ANDERSON, Ind. (May 25, 2010) – Anderson Speedway kicks off the 2010 Pay Less Little 500 week with the Must See Xtreme Sprint Series featured in a 60-lap event on Wednesday, May 26, showcasing some of the premier pavement Winged Sprint Car competitors in the country.

The 2010 edition of the Must See Racing 60 will once again bring the fastest short track cars in the World to Anderson Speedway. This year’s event will be co-sanctioned by the Must See Racing Xtreme Sprint Series and the Hoosier Outlaw Sprint Series.

2010 interestingly marks the inaugural season for the Must See Racing Xtreme Sprint Series. The new series will embark on an 10 race series at historic Midwestern speedways such as: Salem, Winchester, Auto City, Kalamazoo, and Slinger. The inaugural Must See event was held on May 8th at Salem and was a last lap thriller with local driver Aaron Pierce coming home as the winner. Nearly 30 cars took part in this inaugural event.

The addition of winged sprint cars to Little 500 festivities proved very popular after last years event. Veteran Hank Lower took the win and Tampa, Florida’s Dave Steele set a new World’s record during qualifying. There has been a Little 500 tune-up event at Anderson Speedway every year since 1988 but last year marked the first time the event featured wings.

This year will be the second consecutive year the event will be tape delayed for television coverage. Rick Benjamin, Dave Argabright, and Tom Bigelow will provide commentary, in-depth analysis, and interesting insights before, during, and after the event that will be distributed to over 80 million housholds nationally as well as internationally. The event will be aired on Comcast SportsNet and other popular networks. The air date of the event will be announced on the www.mustseeracing.com website.

Drivers from over six states and Canada are expected to compete in this years event including: Tim Cox, Jason Blonde, Jeff Bloom, Aaron Pierce, Blaze Martin, Hank Lower, Sondi Eden, Troy Decaire, Bobby East, Kevin Feeney, Bo Hartley, and many more.

The Kenyon Midgets will also be part of the racing lineup on Wednesday with a 30-lap feature on tap for the open wheel series.

On Wednesday, Pay Less Little 500 practice begins at 10 a.m. with Must See Racing 60 practice taking place at 2:30 p.m. Spectator gates open at 5 p.m. with racing starting at 7. Advanced adult tickets are $10 and $15 on raceday. Kids 6 to 12 are admitted for $4. Five and under are free.

First round qualifications for the 62nd Pay Less Little 500 will take place on Thursday, May 27, beginning at 1:30 p.m. On Friday afternoon, May 28, the 33-car field will be set with the second round of qualifications. On Saturday, May 29, the 62nd Pay Less Little 500 green flag waves at 8 p.m.
