June 4, 2010 – Beebe, AR – With lightning as a back drop, 2008 USCS Mid South Thunder regional series Champion, Tim Crawley from Benton, Arkansas passed young gun Lee Sowell from Nesbit, Mississippi on lap twenty of the thirty-lap United Sprint Car Series presented by Goodyear main event at Beebe Speedway to grab the lead on Thursday night. Crawley then raced the final ten laps to victory lane. He pocketed the first place pay check of $2000 to capture the Biobased USA- USCS Speedweek 2010 Round #4 race and the Speedweek 2010 points lead. It was Crawley’s second win of the season in the tough USCS Mid-South Thunder regional series presented by Goodyear. Crawley also won on the September 2009 initial USCS visit at Beebe Speedway.

Justin Sturch from Benton, Arkansas collected the most passing points in the qualifying heat races. Sturch then drew a four in the K&N Filters Pole Award drawing. This placed defending USCS Champion, Terry Gray from Bartlett, Tennessee who won the Butlerbuilt Second Heat on the K&N Filters Pole with Lee Sowell from outside the front row and Crawley inside the second row.

On lap one, Gray grabbed the lead and was officially scored as the race leader for the first three laps while battling with Sowell and Crawley for the point. On lap four Sowell raced past the veteran and into the lead.

The third generation racer seemed to have the race under control streaking through lapped traffic with Crawley five to six car lengths back. As the raced went past the mid-point, Crawley closed on Sowell and raced under him in turns three and four on lap twenty and led the final ten laps to victory lane.

At the finish line it was Crawley first with Sowell four car lengths back in the runner-up spot. Terry Gray finished in the third position. Zach Pringle from Benton, Arkansas finished in the fourth position and Eric Sandage from Alexander, Arkansas rounded out the top five finishers.

Terry Gray captured the win in the 6-cars, 6-laps Goodyear Speed Dash. Justin Sturch won the 10-lap Engler Machine and Tool First Heat. Terry Gray also won the 10-lap Butlerbuilt Second Heat. Tim Crawley picked up the win in the 10-lap FSR Racing Products Third Heat Race.
