TULSA, Okla. (July 6, 2010) – The Engine Pro ASCS Sprints on Dirt presented by ARP continues its tradition of mini-series during the season with Saturday’s second leg of the MAHLE / Clevite Short Track Challenge at Owendale Speedway.
The event is also Owendale’s “Super Race Day” featuring a beer and brat tent, golf car rides, and live entertainment following the racing events. The proceeds from “Super Race Day” benefit the Pigeon, Michigan area Lions Club and Relay for Life.
Baring interference by Mother Nature, Lucas Oil ASCS National series presented by K&N Filters competitor Darren Long will give up the point lead in the Short Track Challenge. After the two-night Canadian tour over Independence Day weekend Ryan Grubaugh continues to lead the point standings by eight markers over Dain Naida. Naida is also second in the Short Track Challenge standings after charge through the pack during round one at Cherry Raceway.
Last season defending ASCS SOD point champions Brett Mann is the defending feature winner during Super Race Day at Owendale.
