Cox Wins New Paris Speedway

The Hoosier Outlaw Sprint Series yearly appearance at New Paris
Speedway was Saturday night. Tim Cox came out the winner. Mike
Astrauskas was the early leader, with Cox, Geoff Kaiser, Eddie Kelley
and Jason Cox the fast five until, lap six when Cox took the point.
Fast Qualifier, Jeff Bloom, was working his way up from a 6 place
invert. Cox and Kaiser continued to lead the field until a late race
spin by Kaiser in turn two, and Troy DeCaire followed suit with a
spin behind him. Then it was a 4 lap dash to the finish with Cox
leading followed by Bloom, Kelley, Astrauskas, and Joe Swanson
rounding out the top five. The heat race winners were Joe Swanson,
Doug Stepke, and Tom Paterson.
