At a Glance: Autodrome Drummond & Ohsweken Speedway

WHAT

•The World of Outlaws head north of the border this week for a trio of races in Canada, beginning with an inaugural event at Autodrome Drummond in Quebec on Tuesday, July 27, followed by a two-day show at Ohsweken Speedway in Ontario on Friday, July 30 and Saturday, July 31. Autodrome Drummond will mark the fourth track in Canada that the World of Outlaws have competed at. The stop at Ohsweken Speedway will mark the fourth straight year the series has traveled to the always racy 3/8-mile. Jason Sides won the inaugural event at Ohsweken in 2007, while Mother Nature won both night in 2008, with Sides and Jason Meyers splitting wins last season. Entering this week, Joey Saldana, leads the World of Outlaws standings by just 36 markers over 20-time series champion Steve Kinser, with Jason Meyers third, only 45 markers out of the top spot, with Donny Schatz fourth and Sides fifth.

WHEN

•On Tuesday, July 27 at Autodrome Drummond the pit gates will open at 2 p.m. Eastern, with the grandstand gates opening at 4 p.m. Eastern and hot laps are set for 6:30 p.m. Eastern with time trials to follow.

•On Friday, July 30 at Ohsweken Speedway, the pit gates will open at 2 p.m. Eastern, with the grandstand gates opening at 4:30 p.m. Eastern and hot laps are set for 6:30 p.m. Eastern with time trials to follow. Racing is set for 7:45 p.m. Eastern.

•On Saturday, July 31 at Ohsweken Speedway, the pit gates will open at 2 p.m. Eastern, with the grandstand gates opening at 4:30 p.m. Eastern and hot laps are set for 6:30 p.m. Eastern with time trials to follow. Racing is set for 7:45 p.m. Eastern.

WHERE

• Autodrome Drummond is located in Drummondville, Quebec, Canada. Travel Auto Route 20 to exit 177, then go 1.2-miles west on Route 143.

•Ohsweken Speedway is located in Ohsweken, Ontario, Canada, east of Brantford on Highway 403, to Garden Ave. Exit, then 3.3 miles south on CR 18, then 6.7 miles east on CR 54, then 1.5 miles south on Chiefsford Road, then right.

•On Tuesday, July 27 at Autodrome Drummond, adult tickets will be $50 Canadian when purchased in advance and $60 Canadian the day of the race, with tickets for those ages 13-17 $30 Canadian when purchased in advance and also $30 Canadian the day of the race.
