July 29, 2010 – The Ideal Ready Mix Sprint Invaders will add another track to their repertoire on Thursday, August 5, when they visit the Knox County Speedway in Knoxville, Illinois. An increased purse that will pay $250 to start the feature will insure a solid field at the Knox County Fair event!
The Sprint Invaders will be making their first trip ever to the Knox County Speedway and event organizers are excited to host sprint cars on the ½ mile oval! Diversity has been the key with the Sprint Invaders this season, as through July 15, the series had seen seven different winners in nine races! As a result, just eight points separates first from third in the standings.
The Knox County Speedway can be found just south of Interstate 74 in Knoxville, Illinois. Pit gates will open at 4 p.m., with hot laps at 6:30 p.m. and racing to follow.
