MINOT, N.D. (Aug 23, 2010) – Craig Dollansky started sixth and was running fifth with six laps still remaining but he won the final feature event of the Magic City Showdown World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series race at Nodak Speedway.
Joey Saldana won the first night’s feature race at Nodak and was able to extend his lead over Steve Kinser in the championship standings.
Goodyear is the exclusive tire provider for the rear wheel positions on World of Outlaws sprint car racers, as well as for weekly sprint car programs around the country and other touring series.
Dollansky did not get the lead on the final night until lap 27 of the 30-lap event, but once he got ahead, he finished there. Jason Sides finished second, followed by Donny Schatz (who was racing in his hometown), Saldana and Mark Dobmeier. Ben Gregg posted the fastest lap in qualifying, averaging 96.795 mph.
Saldana’s Friday win was a close one. He beat Kinser to the finish by a scant .018 of a second. Kinser was second, followed by Jac Haudenschild, Jason Sides and Chad Kemenah. Jason Meyers had the best lap during time trials, averaging 98.182 mph.
Saldana leads the standings with 6,905 points. Kinser is second with 6,880.
