Concord, NC-October 22, 2010- Plenty of storylines encapsulated the 49th Annual National Open at the famed Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania earlier this month and they all can be relived this weekend as the $50,000 to-win 40-lap event will air on SPEED on Saturday, October 23 at 8 p.m. Eastern as a three hour super-sized show.
Can a World of Outlaws driver stop the PA Posse’s nine-race win streak or will Greg Hodnett continue his dominance of the series at the track? Can Steve Kinser or Donny Schatz become the first driver ever to win the National Open five times? Can Lance Dewease tie Kinser and Schatz with four wins? Can Sammy Swindell return to Victory Lane in the National Open for the first time since 1997? What bearing will the National Open have on the tight point race? Will current point leader Jason Meyers score his first win at Williams Grove? Find out the answers to these questions and many more this Saturday night at 8 p.m. Eastern on SPEED.
Bobby Gerould will call all the action of the thrilling 40-lap feature event that saw the best sprint car drivers in the world compete at the historic half-mile in Central Pennsylvania, with Hall of Famer Brad Doty offering expert analysis and insight, along with Shane Andrews and Sarah Jane Hunt reporting from the pit area.
Following the initial airing on Saturday, October 23 at 8 p.m. Eastern, rebroadcasts of the National Open will air on SPEED on Tuesday, October 26 at 12 p.m. Eastern and Saturday, October 30 at 1 a.m. Eastern.
