FREMONT, OHIO (10-26-10) – The Kistler Racing Products FAST Championship Series held its 2nd Annual Awards Banquet last Saturday night to honor the 2010 champions and Top 10 of both the 410 and 305 sprint divisions. A large crowd of drivers, families, friends, and fans were on hand to enjoy an evening of food, music, and handing out checks and prizes. Byron Reed took home the hardware in the 410 sprint division and hoisted the coveted Kistler Cup trophy, which is a very unique mixture of wood and sprint car parts utilizing torsion arms manufactured by Kistler Racing Products. Stuart Brubaker took home the FAST 305 trophy and a glass crescent presented by sponsor Cleveland Golf. Brubaker was also the winner of a new Triple X Chassis and a $500 certificate from All Pro Heads.
The night began by honoring Shirley Kear of Kear’s Speed Shop for stepping up to make the FAST 305 Championship Series a reality along with co-sponsor Cleveland Golf. Shirley then handed out two $100 cash awards by random drawing from the Top 10 305 drivers. D.J. Foos and Josh Muntz claimed the cash bonus awards.
The Top 10 drivers from the 305 division were then presented with their award plaques from Golden Graphics & Design that displayed an action shot of their car with SpeedMeetsArt.com supplying the unique artistically designed prints. Each driver also received a FAST point fund check and a number of contingency award certificates. The Top 10 split up $4,000 in cash and $13,350 in contingency awards.

Other special awards went to Dean Jacobs who received the Black Swamp Media Group “Golden Steering Wheel” award for the number of times he had to start in the back of the pack and drove to the front for a Top 5 finish in 2010. He was presented with a new gold Butlerbuilt steering wheel on a gold chain which was hung around his neck.
Shawn Valenti, who finished the season in 9th place, was the Cub Cadet FAST Rookie of the Year presented by KS Sales & Service.
