The February 17-19 “Bubba Army Sprint Nationals” at Ocala (Fla.) Speedway has grown to three “doubleheaders” with the announcement that the UMP Modifieds will share the program on the 3/8-mile dirt oval.

USAC’s initial visit to Ocala Speedway will showcase the top open-wheel pilots in the nation in three full programs of heart-pounding broadsliding competition and the addition of the UMP Modifieds will give race fans a diversified bill of fare.

The event kicks off USAC’s 56th season of racing and opens what is expected to be an intense battle for the 2011 USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car Championship. Levi Jones of Olney, Ill. just put the final wraps on the 2010 title last weekend at Tulare, Calif. and could be among top threats for victory again this year.

Damion Gardner of Concord, Calif. started the 2010 campaign with back-to-back victories in the “Bubba Army Sprint Nationals” and hopes to continue his Florida success in this year’s renewal.

The “Bubba Army Sprint Nationals” are part of the week-long racing extravaganza leading up to the February 20 Daytona 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Daytona Beach, Fla.
