For the second weekend in a row, Danny Reidy has finished a round of the World Series Sprintcar (WSS) Championship just outside the Top 10 in 11th place.
After having worked his way up to as high as seventh place during the feature race for the second round of the WSS Championship at Toowoomba’s Charlton Raceway, Reidy dropped back down the field to eventually finish in 11th place.
“Those caution’s during the feature race hurt my progress,” commented Reidy. “We were a lot better than what our end result reflected. I had the bottom working pretty good and those cautions didn’t do me any favours and hurt what could have been a better outcome.”
Reidy earlier in the night had a mid pack result (16th) in qualifying time trials, followed by a fourth and third place in his heat races where he struggled to progress forward and that qualified him directly into the feature race out of position 13.
For the next two weekends Reidy and the rest of the WSS Championship circus will travel over to Tasmania. After an absence of a season, the WSS Championship returns to the Apple Isle state, starting with this Saturday night’s (December 4) third round at Hobart’s Mountain Dew Ice Raceway.
Reidy currently sits 10th in the overall WSS Championship standings with a total of 401 points.
This Wednesday (December 1), be sure to check out Issue # 14 of Totally Speedway to find out where Reidy has been ranked in the Top 10 ‘Hottest Male’ drivers competition.
Reidy would like to thank Desert Palms Resort in Alice Springs, Camden Neon Signs, P & M Motor Body Repairs, Gonzo’s Race Pipes and Inglis Race Engines for all their ongoing support throughout the 2010/11 season.
