WSS Round 4 Postponed Until Sunday

From WSS

The fourth round of World Series Sprintcars at Bendigo Bank Arena, Latrobe has been postponed until tomorrow (Sunday December 12).

World Series Sprintcars general manager Steve Green has confirmed the meeting has been put back a day due to persistent rain and the chance of more rain later this evening.

Tomorrow’s meeting will still be a full program with racing starting at the earlier time of 4.30pm and gates opening at 1pm.

Green said the weather forecast for tomorrow was more favourable.

Farr emerged victorious the last time the Series visited Latrobe in 2008/09, winning the clash from Americans Daryn Pittman and Danny Smith. Brooke Tatnell stopped the clocks in qualifying with an 11.856-second blast.

The previous season it was American Jason Johnson who won the feature race from Tatnell and Adrian Redpath.

Max Dumesny and Johnson won the two rounds in 2006/07, while Tatnell and Dumesny claimed rounds in the 2005/06 series.
