NCRA Releases Ambitious 2011 Sprint Car Schedule!

Midwest City, Oklahoma – January 30, 2011 – The 22nd season for the Park City, Kansas based National Championship Racing Association sprint car division will see one of their most ambitious schedules in the series history as seventeen races at eight different venues are slated for this 2011 race season with a couple other dates pending.

It all kicks off on Saturday night, April 2 with the first of six events at the home of the NCRA, 81 Speedway in Park City followed by a return trip to the three-eighths mile oval two weeks later on April 16.

The annual Steve King Memorial at Dodge City Raceway Park will kick off the month of May on Saturday night the 7th before a big four day Memorial Day weekend kicks off with four races at three different venues. It all begins on Friday night, May 27 as the tour makes their first appearance since July of 2007 at RPM Speedway in Hays, Kansas. Then on Saturday and Sunday night it’s on to the 3rd annual Steve King Memorial at the Great American Dirt Track in Jetmore, Kansas paying $3000 to win each night. The weekend will then come to a climax on Monday night, May 3oth, at 81 Speedway.

For the first time ever, 81 Speedway will host the series three premiere racing divisions with the late model and modifieds joining the sprinters for a huge Sunday night Fathers Day extravaganza on June 19th. Then on June 25th, it will be the tours inaugural appearance at Heartland Park Topeka in Topeka, Kansas.

The 55th annual Hutchinson Grand Nationals, atop the Kansas State Fairgrounds will take place on Friday and Saturday night, July 15-16 with Saturday nights finale paying $5000 to the winner while one week later a return trip to the Great American Dirt Track on Saturday night, July 23rd.

Almost one month later it is the annual trip to Mid-Nebraska Speedway in Doniphan, Nebraska on Saturday night, August 20th before the fourth and final appearance of the season at the Great American Dirt Track on Saturday night, August 27th.

The sprinters will then take to the high banks of Belleville for a Labor Day weekend, Sunday night encounter before heading south down Hwy 81 to 81 Speedway.

It will all come to an end on Saturday night, October 1st with their sixth and final appearance at 81 Speedway.

The 2011 race season will be the 41st consecutive year for the NCRA, which sanctions the sprint car, late model, modified, southern sport mod and new Great Plains regional late model divisions throughout the Great Plains.
