An unsuccessful late charge for fourth place during the Australian Nationals last Saturday night at Speedway City (Adelaide, SA) resulted in Danny Reidy losing a few spots and eventually finishing in sixth place.
After he had started the feature race out of position nine by virtue of finishing second in Dash B and earlier in the night a third and seventh place in his two heat races; Reidy had moved inside the Top 5 quite quickly. Not content to remain where he was, Reidy in the closing laps made a challenge for fourth on Warrenne Ekins, but it didn’t go exactly to plan and he crossed the finish line in sixth place.
“We weren’t that bad for the feature race and we made some good progress, but we couldn’t get a better finish and sixth was where we ended up,” commented the NT # 5 Desert Palms Resort – Alice Springs supported Eagle driver, who currently sits ninth in the World Series Sprintcar (WSS) Championship point standings. “The plan now is to head over to Western Australia to complete our World Series campaign and try and move up the point standings ladder by stringing together some good results.”
This Wednesday night (February 9) the WSS Championship resumes at Kalgoorlie International Speedway and then Friday and Saturday night (February 11 and 12) at Bunbury City Speedway.
The Reidy Racing welcome back onboard Titan Plant Hire for the Western Australian leg of the season and thank Jason for his continued support.
