USAC Western point leader Jessica Clark (Ford Focus) and Brodie Kostecki (Focus Young Guns) head for Madera (Calif.) Speedway Saturday for the “Gerhardt Classic,” an event also featuring the USAC Western Classic Sprint Cars.

Clark, of Westlake Village, Calif., finished second in the Ford Focus opener at Blythe, Calif. and fifth in race two at Lake Havasu City, Ariz. and has a one-point lead over Jake Swanson entering Saturday’s Madera events.

Kostecki, of Roseville, Calif., finished second at Blythe and won at Lake Havasu City and takes a three-point lead over Brandon White into Saturday’s program on the third-mile Madera oval.

The Madera races also afford points toward USAC’s National Ford Focus and Focus Young Guns championships. A driver’s best 12 finishes count toward the Ford Focus crown, while the driver’s best eight finishes are used to determine the Focus Young Guns champ.
