Wilke-PAK Motorsports opened up the twenty-seven race USAC National Midget Series season with solid performances by drivers Kody Swanson and Brady Bacon during the weekends doubleheader at Dodge City (Kan.) Raceway Park.
Swanson, the team’s new lead driver finished tenth in the opening night feature. Saturday Swanson improved his effort by quailfying fourth, winning the semi feature and then finished fifth in the 40-lap feature. Bacon a former midget feature winner at the 3/8-mile clay oval captured third place feature finishes both evenings for the team.
Next event for the team will be the May 14-15 doubleheader weekend at Angell Park Speedway (Sun Prairie, Wis.). The team has scored ninety-one feature victories at the famed facility.
