SYRACUSE, NY – While the 2011 season for the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints (ESS) has already seen its first green flag, the quest in obtaining sponsorships hasn’t stopped. ESS would like to announce Engine Research from Cobden, Ontario as the title sponsor of the B-Main events held at each full point event for this year.
The winner of the “last chance” race will collect $50 cash as well as an all important starting spot in the A-Main. Mike Blok and his successful engine building and repair company has done several forms of sponsorships with ESS throughout the years. With the B-Main backing, his name will be mentioned at each event.

Alain Bergeron jumped out of the gate strong with his win at Can-Am on Apr. 30th. The Lucas Oil Tour will get going full bore on Memorial Weekend with the annual Earl Halaquist Memorial at Fonda followed by the first of four stops to Utica-Rome.
