May 21, 2011 – Rain assaulted Lawrenceburg Speedway shortly before the halfway point of the King of Indiana Sprint Series feature race on Saturday. KISS events aren’t rescheduled and the official ruling of the KISS results and points awarded will be announced as soon as possible.

Daron Clayton held the race lead after a dozen circuits of the Lawrenceburg oval, when a light drizzle intensified to the point where track officials determined that the race needed to be stopped for safety reasons. Clayton had taken the lead from Jon Stanbrough on the eighth lap. Damion Gardner was third when the caution flew, followed closely by Chris Windom and Keith Bloom Jr. KISS point leader Brady Short was running tenth.

With an unusually wet spring, this was the second KISS race impacted by rain. After Bloomington ran the opening event, the Gas City round was rained out. The next KISS event will held be Sunday, June 19th at Tri-State Speedway.
