The 2011 USAC Mopar D1 Midget point battle continues this week with races slated at the Bryant Heating & Cooling Indianapolis Speedrome in Indiana Wednesday night and Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, Wisc. Sunday night.

Michael Pickens, winner of Sunday night’s “Indiana Midget Week” feature at Kokomo, Ind., has a one-point lead over Bubba Altig in the D1 standings, despite the fact that Altig won the series opener at Angell Park last month.

Wednesday night’s program at the Indianapolis oval also includes the Midwest Ford Focus and Focus Young Guns Series. Picking up the win on June 1 was Kyle O’Gara.

Fathers who are accompanied by their children will be admitted free of charge to the grandstands Wednesday night.
