FREMONT, Ohio – Heavy showers and thunderstorms hit Fremont Speedway Tuesday after the four O’Reilly Auto Parts All Star Circuit of Champion Sprint Car heat races had been completed, forcing the cancellation of the Ohio Sprint Speedweek event presented by Helms & Sons Excavating and Paving Night.

Fans can bring their ticket stubs from Tuesday to the Saturday, June 25 finale for the $10,000-to-win Ohio Sprint Speedweek at Fremont Speedway and pay the difference in admission price ($5 for adults).

The 305 sprints and dirt trucks will also be in competition Saturday. There is a rain date of Sunday, June 26.

There were 45 All Star Sprints that qualified Tuesday before the rains fell, including NASCAR driver Kasey Kahne. Tim Shaffer set quick time. Heat races were won by Bryan Sebetto, Jac Haudenschild, Bruce White and Kyle Sauder. Only two of the top eight qualifiers had made the A-main through their heats – Stevie Smith and Dale Blaney.

Gates will open Saturday at 4 p.m. with racing underway at 7 p.m. on Fort Ball Pizza Palace Night.
