Port Royal – For the first time in memory, Port Royal Speedway will host Fan Appreciation Night on July 16 offering a blockbuster, affordable $10.00 adult admission price for a stacked racing program of only the biggest dirt track racing divisions.

The night will feature the area and Port Royal’s premier racing divisions – 410 sprints and late models, along with the popular 305 sprints and an enduro dash with gates opening at 5:30 PM and racing slated for 7:30 PM.

Port Royal continues to be the only area track offering the top two dirt divisions in the area on a weekly basis in the sprints and late models.

Aside from the drop to $10.00 for adults from the usual $15, students ages 12 – 17 likewise will be dropped to just $5.00 compared to the usual $10.

PRS Promotions officials made the popular announcement late Tuesday evening, noting that the price for the program is a win – win for every race fan during the current economic conditions.

“This is something we’ve wanted to do for quite some time,” said Juniata County Agricultural Society President Don Clark as head of the speedway governing body.

“We want to do something special for the fans as a thank you for their support this season,” Clark said.

“And we want people to come and see our great racing.”

PRS Promotions promoter and race director Steve O’Neal offered that this is a chance for some to rediscover the speedway while offering others a chance to see it for the first time.

“We want anyone who hasn’t been to the track, whether for quite some time or even ever, to come and see what great quality racing entertainment Port Royal offers,” O’Neal said.

“There have been a lot of improvements and changes made at the track during the last eight months and everyone needs to come check it out and enjoy a fun night at the races.”

Port Royal Speedway hosts regular weekly Saturday night fanfare featuring 410 sprints and late models along with various other divisions from late March through early September.
