Belleville, Kan., July 21—Midget auto racings two hottest drivers Darren Hagen and Brad Kuhn are among the latest entries for the 34th Annual RevHoney Belleville Midget Nationals on Aug. 5-6 at the Belleville High Banks.
Hagen winner of six feature events this year including the $20,000 to win “Night Before the 500” will be driving the RFMS Racing Spike/Ford-Esslinger. Hagen finished third in last years event. Kuhn current point leader in the National Midget Driver of the Year Championship and Badger Midget Series is also looking for his first Belleville championship. Kuhn has claimed four feature victories this season.
Two owners Keith Kunz, and Robbie Allen will field multi-car entries for the event. Kyle Larson, Caleb and Dalton Armstrong will handle driving duties for Kunz, former Belleville Car owner Champion. Allen’s Phoenix, Ariz. based ABC team will have Spike/Ford-Esslinger’s for Josh Pelkey and Danny “Showtime” Sheridan. Entries for the event now total eighteen cars. Several other teams have contacted the race office and are excepted to file an entry before the pre-race deadline.
For the second straight year the event will be officiated by the National Championship Racing Association (NCRA) and The Belleville High Banks Race Committee. Nearly $90,000 in purse money has been posted for this event. General Admission tickets for all events are sold first-come first-served on race day at the ticket gate. Reserved Seating tickets is available for the RevHoney Belleville Midget Nationals. General admission available only if the event is not sold out, and available only on the day of the race at the track ticket office (bottom 3 rows only).
