From: Jonathan Allard Motorsports
With the racetrack extremely slick and tricky, Allard tip-toed his Rod Fauver prepared machine around the bottom of the speedway as he searched for traction. After a pair of early cautions, a lap seven restart, saw Allard hang his right rear over the turn two cushion, allowing Aaron Reutzel to get passed as JA slipped back to the fourth spot. While riding in the fourth spot, JA got into a entertaining battle with Shane Stewart as the duo exchanged slide jobs with Stewart finally making his stick on the 14th circuit, knocking Allard back to the fifth spot. With Allard scaling the top side trying to get back by Stewart, Sean Becker was able to sneak past Allard on the 19th circuit, putting JA in the sixth spot. Over the final 11 laps, Allard continued to pressure Becker for the fifth spot, but wasn’t able to get around him to overtake the fifth spot. As the race concluded JA sat in the sixth spot. “Rod Fauver gave me a great car tonight, I just made a couple mistakes on the track which hurt us tonight,” said JA. “I’m still getting comfortable in the J&J as it’s a littler different then my car back home, but we’ll be back tomorrow and hopefully I can give Rod and his guys a better finish.” ON TAP: JA and his Rod Fauver Racing team will be back in action Saturday night for the conclusion of the innagural Bullring Nationals at the Placerville Speedway in Placerville, CA.
