LaSalle, Ill……….Brad Kuhn of Avon, Ind. won Friday night’s 30-lap “Bob Tattersall Memorial: Mopar USAC National Midget race at LaSalle Speedway, leading the final 28 laps in his Rotondo Weirich/Champion Brands Beast/Fontana. Kody Swanson led the first two laps and Kuhn led the rest of the way to beat Jerry Coons Jr., Bryan Clauson, Tracy Hines and Kyle Larson. Zach Daum was the fastest qualifier. Clauson’s finish enabled him to slide past Darren Hagen by three points in the new series standings going into Saturday night’s “Pepsi Nationals” USAC/BMARA race at Angell Park in Sun Prairie, Wisc. Hagen finished eighth at LaSalle. Larson now trails Clauson by just 18 points in third place in the standings.
