September 11, 2011 — The King of Indiana Sprint Series Champion’s Helmet will be presented to 2011 King of Indiana Dave Darland at Bloomington Speedway on Friday, September 16. Darland earned his first KISS championship, over Jon Stanbrough and Chris Windom, with finishes of second and third at Paragon and Kokomo Speedways, in the final weekend of the series. This is the fifth champion’s helmet presented by the KISS track promoters, as Jon Stanbrough owns three from his 2007, 2008 and 2010 titles, and Brady Short, the 2009 champion, also has one.
