ROCHESTER, NY — (March 3, 2012) — As the tradition of the Patriot Sprint Tour embarks on their 10th season, the calendar turning to March means that it is time to showcase the cars of some of the stars of the tour and get ready to drop the green flag on race action.

This Saturday and Sunday, March 10 and 11, the Patriot Sprint Tour will have their booth prominently displayed at the Central of Progress Building at the NYS Fairgrounds in Syracuse along with five race-ready sprint cars. The Motorsports Expo will be an opportunity for fans and racers alike to get their copy of the 2012 PST Schedule, plus find out about some exciting announcements planned in celebration of the 10th season of Patriot racing.

Headlining the “Five-Star Cars” to adore the booth is four-time PST Champion Bryan Howland of Auburn, NY. “Flyin’ Bryan” has been a mainstay in the series booth at the Motorsports Expo and once again should have his No. 51 sparkling.

Howland is a former series rookie of the year, just like Dylan Swiernik, who will display a new look to his No. 7c this weekend. The third-year sprint shoe from Port Leyden, NY was the Insinger Race Fuels Rookie of the year in 2010.

Two contenders for this year’s top rookie honors in the PST American Series will also have their cars in the booth. Mark Tychoniewicz, of Rochester, NY and Erica Bell, of Penn Yan, NY will have their No. 22 and No. 31B mounts, respectively, on display. Tychoniewicz has spent the last few years running well in the micro sprint ranks while Bell has spent time running 4-cylinders, pro trucks and competing most recently in the street stock division. She will be a teammate to Bruce DeWick this season and he will have his No. 22D in the booth as well. DeWick has made a number of series starts over the last four seasons but intends on running the entire American Tour in 2012.

The Motorsports Expo is put on by the Gater Racing News, who has been sponsoring the PST’s Hard Charger of the Season for seven years now. The event will run from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Saturday and 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Sunday. For more information, visit www.GaterNews.com.

In addition to the PST showing off their winged warriors at the Motorsports Expo, Jared Zimbardi and Tim Kelly, the top two in series points last season, will also have their cars on display this month. Zimbardi will have his No. 35 at the Olean Mall car Show while Tim Kelly will have his No. 12 at both the Arnot Mall as well as in Houston, TX.

The first race on the 2012 PST Schedule is Saturday, April 14 at the Fulton Speedway, an event that is highly-anticipated to say the least. If you can not wait until this weekend to check out the full 2012 Patriot Sprint Tour Schedule, feel free to visit www.PatriotSprintTour.com.
