March 4, 2012 – The Terre Haute Action Track has been added to the King Of Indiana Sprint Series schedule this season, hosting the opening event on Sunday, April 22. The final race, at Paragon Speedway, has also changed dates, moving to Saturday, June 2.
With seven tracks now on this year’s tour, the point fund has increased to a total of $4,200, with the series champion earning $1,200. Second in points will get $900, and third through fifth will receive $800, $700 and $600. The KISS promoters have also included a minimum payoff, where any car that does not transfer to the feature will collect at least $100.
The event at Terre Haute will be a co-sanctioned KISS and MSCS program. This will be the seventh KISS event held at the Action Track, however it will be the first since Jon Stanbrough captured the 2006 race. Stanbrough also won in 2001 and 2003, with Tony Elliott, Shane Cottle and Levi Jones collecting KISS victories in the intervening years.
