17TH ANNUAL WOMEN’S CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT TUESDAY, MAY 22 AT INDIANAPOLIS’ EAGLE CREEK GOLF COURSE

The 17th Annual Women’s Charity Golf Tournament, scheduled Tuesday, May 22, honors the generosity of Mary Fendrich Hulman and benefits the USAC Benevolent Foundation, which serves USAC and IndyCar.

Tee time is 8:30 am, following 7:30 registration and continental breakfast and an instructional meeting at 8:15. The tournament will consist of a nine-hole scramble format. Lunch will again be catered in the golf course dining room, courtesy of the Olive Garden Restaurants.

The top three finishing teams will receive distinctive awards and additional awards will be presented fot the “Katie Oxley Longest Drive,” sponsored by the Tony Stewart Foundation, and “Closest to the Pin.” Raffle and door prizes will also be available.

Golfers will be able to purchase mulligans and raffle tickets and the tournament will begin with a shotgun start,

Entry forms may be secured at the USAC offices, 4910 W. 16th Street, Speedway, Ind. or by calling Bill Marvel, tournament coordinator, at 859-749-0646 or Chairperson Marie Hall at 317-432-7624. Checks should be made payable to the USAC Benevolent Fund.

This year’s tournament is again being sponsored by Reed Financial Services of Raymond James and Associates.

Defending champions of the tournament are Rita McCluskey, Rachel Grab, Katie Binker and Cindy Norton.

This event in 2011 assisted in the Foundation granting nearly $100,000 to needy members of the racing fraternity.
