Darren Hagen of Riverside, Calif. has sprinted to a 30-point lead over Tracy Hines of New Castle, Ind. in the latest USAC National Drivers Championship standings as a result of events held last week.

Hagen won the Mopar National Midget race at Plymouth, Ind. Friday and finished fourth at Sun Prairie, Wis. In Sunday night’s Mopar National Midget race. Hines was third in both races.

A driver’s best 25 National feature-race finishes count toward the 2012 USAC National Drivers Championship.

The battle for NDC points continues the next two weeks with seven AMSOIL National Sprint races on tap constituting this year’s “Indiana Sprint Week.” This week’s races are at Gas City Friday, Kokomo Saturday and Lawrenceburg Sunday.
