$10 General Admission At Port Royal August 11 For Sprints, Lates, Pros and 305s

Port Royal, PA — (August 6, 2012) — For the second time this season, Port Royal Speedway will present Fan Appreciation Night this Saturday, August 11, featuring $10 adult general admission for a full program of 410 sprints, late models, pro stocks and 305 sprints.

 

Racing action gets underway at 7:30 pm.

 

It will also be York County Racing Club Night at the speedway and Food Pantry Night has also been rescheduled for the program.

 

A donation of a non-perishable food item by fans as they come into the races will net them a shot at more than a dozen prizes including steak dinners, Sheetz gift cards, free passes to future races at Port Royal and more.

 

Members of the Port Royal and Matamoras United Methodist Youth Ministries will be on hand to help collect and organize the pantry donations.

 

The donations will go to the Juniata County Food Pantry for distribution.  Only non-perishable items will be accepted/collected.

 

Adult ticket prices of just $10 is an outstanding value for fans to visit the speedway and take in a full program of high-flying Port Royal racing action.  Students ages 12 – 18 will be admitted for $5.

 

With the season winding down, point titles are on the line during the program as all eyes turn to see if sprint pilot Chad Layton can be knocked off of his position at the top while also watching to see who will get control of the late model points.

 

The AB Auto Glass late model division has its top three pilots within 35 points of one another showing Tim Wilson on top over Mike Lupfer and Brett Schadel.

 

All three drivers have taken victories at the track in 2012.

 

John Heane is the current Millers Auto Parts pro stock division point leader and just got his third win of the season on August 4.

 

Blane Heimbach will enter the program hot on the heels of the biggest win of his sprint car career on August 4 at Port Royal after he took nearly $13,000 in the Living Legends Dream Race.

 

August 18 will be DMI Camera and Autograph Night at the speedway featuring access to the pit area from 5:30 until 6:15 for general admission fans.

 

Racing action will include 410 sprints, late models, pro stocks and an enduro dash.

 

DMI will conduct a youth candy scramble on the frontstretch during intermission.
