Sun Prairie, Wis., Aug. 7—A weekend doubleheader on Aug. 11-12 awaits The Stark Automotive Group/Mid-State Equipment Badger Midget Series.
The series returns to the Wilmot (Wis.) Raceway on Saturday Aug. 11, after an exciting victory by Andrew Felker four weeks ago. The evenings racing card will also feature The Badger 600 Micro Series, Mini Sprints, Modifieds, and Street Stocks. Grandstands open at 5:00 pm, with practice at 6;00 pm, racing to follow.
Sunday Aug. 12, the series along with the Badger 600 Micros, and Wisconsin Dirt Legends return to Angell Park Speedway, for a 30-lap midget feature.
Bubba Altig holds a 135-point lead over Daniel Robinson, with six events remaining in midget standings. Defending Badger 600 Micro Champion Chad Bogar leads Scott Crawford by 131-points with five events slated to compete their second season.
Seven Companies have added extra money to the 31st annual Pepsi Midget Nationals on Saturday Sept.1, bringing the winners total to at least $3,000 and $300 to start. They include: Stark Automotive Group, Mid-State Equipment, Advance Fastening Supply, 1855 Saloon, Brooks Tractor, Conrad Real Estate, and The R.G. Huston Company. The 9th annual Dave Schulenberg Memorial Dash, will also be run during the evenings events.
