Darren Hagen of Riverside, Calif. continued his drive toward a possible USAC Mopar National Midget title with his third-place finish in Sunday night’s 30-lap race at Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, Wisc. He now leads runner-up Tracy Hines by 186 points after Hines finished 24th Sunday.

Brad Kuhn of Avon, Ind. won Sunday’s race by inches as he beat Bryan Clauson to the checkered flag in his RW Motorsports machine. Hagen took third ahead of Levi Jones and Chris Windom.

The 30-lap race featured six lead changes, involving drivers Zach Daum, Hines, Kuhn, Hagen and Clauson, with Clauson leading the white-flag lap before yielding to Kuhn at the finish line.

The series now prepares for the September 22 “4-Crown Nationals” at the Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio.
