Port Royal – The biggest racing weekend of the Port Royal Speedway season looms as the Tuscarora 50 sprint car races near, coming up on Friday and Saturday, September 7 and 8 as part of the 158th annual Juniata County Fair.
The All Star Circuit of Champions Sprints East Region Series Finale events are on tap both Friday and Saturday as the Night Before The 50 and 45th annual Tuscarora 50 races are spun off with over $35,000 in top prize money alone on the line.
The All Stars Eastern Region Champion will be crowned at the conclusion of Saturday’s Tuscarora 50.
Friday’s All Star Night Before The 50 feature will go 30 laps in distance and pay $5,000 to win with the final race of the season for the AB Auto Glass late models also on the card with the naming of the 2012 division champion to be learned.
Saturday’s AB Auto Glass 45th annual Tuscarora 50 sanctioned by the All Stars will of course go 50 laps with at least $11,000 going to the winner.
And with laps paying $25 each, more than $1,200 in lap money is also on the line. Plus, a $200 bonus has been posted for the leader at the halfway point.
In addition, the All Stars Eastern Region Champion, determined by the outcome of the 50 event, will pocket a hefty $20,000.
And all of that means if one driver leads every lap of the Tuscarora 50 and also earns the All Stars East Region crown, he’ll go home with over $32,000!
And if the money is split, the Eastern champ will get his $20,000 while the T50 winner still walks away with over $12,000 himself, assuming he wires the field.
Adult admission for The Night Before The 50 is set at $20 with Saturday’s price for adults set at a modest $25 for the high profile, prestigious event.
Students ages 12 – 18 will be admitted for an astounding low price of JUST $5 at both events.
